Wedding at Shangri-La

26 January 2007 - Friday

On Friday nite me and my whole family went to my cousin's wedding which was held at Shangri La.. We went in four cars.. my kenari, and my brothers' 2 beemers plus 1 Merc Vito. Apa yg paling tak puas hati when i arrived there, the guard asked me where am I going? Dia tak nampak ke I pakai lawa2…vogue2 ni and yet still asking me where am I going? I tell them that i'm attending a wedding. But they didn't bother to ask the 2 beemers & vito behind me!!!... Mmg frust betul masa tu..really spoil my nite…tp kejap ajela spoilnya tu. Mesti dia bengang. Lantaklaaa...my brother siap nak tulis surat complain but then my dad say, no need, they just do their job. To me.."yeeaaahhh...right..their job apa, memilih kereta"...benci betul. This is not the first time it happen to me, in fact most of formal functions that i attended the guard 'especially' will asked, where am i going. OMG!! Pleasee...eventhough i'm driving a Kenari...doesn't mean we're NO BODY. Siigghhh!! Fact of life.

Nvm, let's get to the main story here...GRAND WEDDING.

A little story of a groom family background – His father was ex-KFC chairman…but I don’t know what is he doing now…but they in a BIG family business. He was born and bred in London... but they did the wedding reception in Malaysia since most of the relatives are here...nak kena kenalla jugak adik-bradik kat Malaysia ni…especially from Alor Setar. Tp bila dah berkumpul ramai-ramai adik bradik ni, mestila kita nak kenal2 ramah2 mesra ye tak? His parents is very nice but his 2 sisters tak pulak nak datang berjumpa salam2 ka…kenal2 ka…maybe sbb ramai sgt kot tak boleh nak layan….OR biasala anak orang kaya…memilih yg betaraf antarabangsa jugak nak bersalam pun…haaiihhh…manusia. We don’t mind actually, what ever it is, kenduri ni kita kena rai sbb dah dijemput.

VVIPs - Sultan Perlis, Sultan Kedah, Raja Muda Kedah, Tengku Temenggung went to the reception... and mencemar duli menepung tawar pengantin. My brothers really admire Tunku's SONGKET. It was 1st class quality..harga? Jgnla tanya...mestila ribu riban. The way Tunku lipat sampin ada style and it only meant for Kedah royal family only. That's what i heardla. Tak tahula betul ke tidak.

Kalau tak salah the wedding planner was Pak Abu. Sebab dia memang terkenal dgn bunga melur…kira macam trademark diala. Masuk aje kat dlm grand ballroom tu memang dah boleh bau bunga melur..wangi sangat...dah tu bunga melur ni meleret2 hingga ke pelamin…issshhh…dah byk2 tu pening plak kepala bau dia kuat sangat. Well, the reception ends almost 12am…ngantuknyaaa…dah tu nak bersalam dgn pengantin punyala panjang.

Sementara nak tunggu turn kami sampai ke pengantin untuk bersalam tu….kami ni beramai2 naik atas pelamin yg direka oleh Pak Abu tu untuk bergambar. Tengokla gambar2 kami nih. Even pengantin lama pun bersanding sekali lagi…heh…heh…heh…mengalah real pengantin yg berposing atas pelamin tu. It was a great nite & a grand wedding. Kalaulah majlis ni masuk dlm majalah Pengantin, harus kami membelinya. Manala tahu mungkin terselit gambar2 kami nih.

Kepada Azhan & Thania, Selamat Pengatin Baru. Semoga berbahagia sehingga ke anak cucu. InsyaAllah…

Kuching Trip 2006

Hye…dah lama tak create blog ni. So, I’m free now..must as well I cerita sikit about my trip to Kuching with my friends. We went there on 16 December 2006 until 18 December 2006. It was a great trip. I pergi sana with Intan, Ziez and Oya.

Masa ni tengah b’fast kat McD while waiting nak boarding….we were the last passenger to on board..can just imagine that. OMG!! Kita boleh take our own sweet time makan2 kat McD tu..isshh..isshh…smpi dah last calling pun we all dok makan lagi…sabar ajela. Nasib tak kena tinggal……hehehehehehe. The journey took us as about 1 hr 45 minutes. Its 737 aircraft.

We stay at Kuching Park Hotel..it’s 3 star hotel. Bolehla tahan keadaannya.…kami pun bukan nak duduk sgt dlm bilik tu….nak rewang2 kat Kuching. Syamil (my brother) fetch us kat airport hantar to hotel. Jimat duit taxi.

Petang lepas solat Asar, we went to Waterfront. Kat situla yg menarik perhatian para pelancong ke Kuching. Minum petang kat sana..…pusing2 situ kejap…..pehtu naik sampan cross the river 30sen aje…murahnyaa. Orang2 yg dlm sampan tu…tengok aje we all….macam org asing plak mcm tak pernah tengok…ntah2 depa pun tau kita ni from Semenanjung…weird aje attitude..^0^ We stay there until sunset….pehtu cross semula ke Waterfront. Kat sana tak ada night life. Kedai2 souvenir semua tutup pukul 6pm. Ada jugakla yg buka….tp tak byk. Kita ni waktu tula nak nak survey2….tp tutup plak. Actually kat Waterfront u pun ada gakla gerai2 kecik2 jual small2 constume jewelleries/accessories…murah2 gak….mcm pearls, crystals….i tak belila…sbb dah ada….kawan2 yg lain tu la. Depa yg byk membeli. Lepas dah dinner barula balik hotel, tu pun dah almost 11pm.

Next day tu HUJAN!!! Dari subuh smpila ke petang. Kami dah risau dah sbb hari ahad tula BYK plan. We don’t care, just proceed with the xtvts. Lepas b’fast, Shiela (kawan Ziez) datang fetch us kat hotel. She took us to Sarawak Culture Village. Sebelum tu nak bgtau…she came with Kembara…at the same time, kawan dia pun ada. So just imagine how PACK that Kembara is. Belakang aje 4 org…kami2la tu. Sheila dgn kawan dia duduk depanla of course. Heemmm….kami ni mcm ikan sardin kat belakang tu…addussss…..KETAT beb. Nasibla I kecik aje, but still …cramp.…huhuhuhu. Ok, nvm…we proceed with the stories.

Along the way to S’wak Culture Village tu hujan punyala lebat. MasyaAllah…..kami dah frust dah masa tu. Harap2 sgtla bila smpi sana hujan tu reda or STOP terus. The journey took us almost 1 hr…jauh gakle…dgn keadaan kami dlm kembara tu…he..he..he..he.. Bila dah smpi sana…still raining…but not as heavy as before. Harga tiket nak masuk is RM45.00 very THE expensive. Kami terus ke dewan persembahan…sbb masih hujan must as well we proceed to the culture show. It was a GREAT show….very colorful. Oya kena naik stage....org Penan tarik dia naik stage. Takut sangat masa tu….but it was FUN. Lepas dah habis show tu, barula kita jalan2 tengok rumah2 traditional berbagai2 kaum kat S’wak. It was HUGE area. Kami redah jugakla walaupun hujan…bergambar dlm hujan ni tauu…Nampak aje clear pemandangan…tp sebenarnya hujan..tu Nampak tu payung2 tu. ^0^. Bila aje we all dah selesai pusing2 kawansan tu…dah nak balik dah ni…barula hujan STOP. Tengok tu..gambar yg last sekali..dah nampak kan matahari dah naik.

Next, pegi Santubung Beach…dekat dengan Damai Beach. It’s about 10 minutes drive from S’wak Culture Village. When we reach there, hujan renyai2 plak….tak kira...pegi jugakla…redah jugakla. Ombak kat sana, OMG!! besar2, ngeri tengok. Sbb dah smpi sanakan, mesti cecah kaki kat laut tu. Cantik gakla tempat sana, hotel2 kat sana pun best….macam duduk kat dlm kawasan kampung. Tak ingat dah apa nama hotel tu…kalau rezeki nak stay kat hotel sini pulak.

Perut dah lapar, cari makanla apa lagi. Hujan masih renyai2. Even masa kat beach lagi still renyai2. Shiela bawa p makan kat kuching town, tak ingat nama apa kedai tu. Pehtu pegi kedai pasu. Mcm2 jenih pasu ada kat sana, dari yg besar…smpila sekecik2nya pasu. Kawan2la borong byk sekali. Berkotak2 haaa……beli pasu kat sana, they will pack nicely for us, senang nak masuk kargo besok nih. Dekat sejam jugakla we all kat sana…..smpi I dah ngantuk dah dok menunggu depa tu shopping.

Then pegi cari ikan kering terubuk pulak. Mana lagi, Waterfrontla…kat sana ada pasar basah. Talking about pasar…..mana ada pasar wangi, busuknya….lain sgt baunya dr yg kat KL ni. Shiela tak bagi we all masuk dlm pasar tu……siap suruh we all stay kat luar lagi, dia yg pegi beli. Lepas tu dia bawa pegi Indian Street…..ala-ala Petaling Street kat KL la….tp malangnya dah tutup. Yelaahh….masa tu dah pukul 6 lebey. Apa lagi, we rewang2la kat Waterfront cari souvenir.


Dinner, Syamil belanja makan seafood. Tengokla gambar tu…penuh meja, tak sangka pula boleh licin semuanya. Memang kami sangat lapar, smpi licin pinggan tu dibuatnya. Pusing2 kuching town for the last time, then balik hotel. Kemas barang2 nak kena bawak balik, ada yg beli extra beg sbb tak cukup. Just imagine, kami pegi sana 4 beg, balik KL, 8 begs!!!! Or more plus the boxes. Penat sgt malam tu, masing2 tido awal.

Is time to go home. Sedeynyaaa….tak cukup rasanya 3days 2 nites ni. Kat airport tengah checkin..its a long Q. Lepas dah check-in beli chocolates….dpt 15% discounts!!!! Nasibla si Syamil tu ada…guna dia punya staff price, bukan chocolates aje…infact every shop kat Kuching airport tu its 15% discounts. That’s a lot…apa lagi…borongla. Our flight is 1/2hr delay. Boleh dikatakan….hari2 delay flight AirAsia ni, we all panggil AirDelay. Otw back our flight is AirBus...new aircraft.

That’s about to say about my trip to Kuching..it was a great experience. Should bring your loves one there for a holidays. I can’t afford to go overseas, but I can afford to go over South China Sea…^0^. We took a lots of photos and video actually, tp tak boleh nak bubuh 80 pcs dlm blog nih, tunjuk mana2 yg patut ajela.

Well, all set!! This is Hj Sulaiman Ahmad's family. Ni pun tak cukup lagi 1 family. My eldest brother Nazwal tak dpt balik Alor Setar..dia balik rumah isteri dia di Rantau Negeri Sembilan. Tapi byk ni pun dah gamat dah suasana kat sana.

















Ni sesi bermaaf-maafan dan pemberian duit raya. Masa ni la budak-budak paling seronok. Mau tak nyer...uncle-uncle & auntie depa bagi $ byk gakla kat depa. Minimum $10 tauuu. So just imagine...kami dah berapa org. Perrgghh...kaya beb budak2 tu. Yang paling teruknya kami-kami ni la..dok bagi $ aje, tp in return...$0 ajela..huhuhuhuhuhu.

















Next!! This is my brothers. Tak cukup seorang yg lain semua ada. I'm the only daughter in the family. Hensem tak my brothers???? Pls comments. I know i'm pretty...sebab tu my blog is PrettyIra.

















This is the BACHELORS!!. Eh' tak termasuk my parents ok. Nak kenal dgn yg baju biru, putih & dark yellow? Boleh..boleh..sila isi form yg akan dikemukakan pada akhir sesi photogambar ni.

















Makan time...tp ni rumah Mak Engku kat Mentalon. Ell pernah datang sini...Akla pun pernah datang rumah Mak Engku ni. Masa ni 2nd hari raya...tp suasana tetap meriah!!!


















Peergghh...penat dah sembang...perut pun dah almost kenyang. Nak pegi rumah orang lain plak ni. Long list ni.

Alamak....tergelap plak gambar ni. Ni kazen i...yg tengah tu. Dia ni baru balik from Algeria nak bersalin kat sini...her first child. Formally from PwC jugak. So memandangkan dia dah balik Malaysia ni...nak jamu makan2 sikit.

















Desserts PALING sedap!!! Tp dah lupa nama apa. It's ais cream with chocolate toppings!! Yummyy...yummmyyy....kami share 6 orang!!! Tu pun dah kebuntat..nampak kecik tp besaq gak la portionnya.

















Ni kat luar Chilis tu....nak balik dah...dah lewat mlm sgt ni. Ayahanda ku tu dah calling-calling..hehehehe..mcm biasa.

PwC Treasure HUNT

Ni la..team Red Pearl...kenapa red pearl....sbb tema utk TH kali ni is Pirates of the Carribean..ala-ala lanun gituu...and red is color of my car selain nama dia kenari aerosport...it's glamourly known as CABAI!!!...he...he...cute huh!! So, we all set to go to Lumut. Of course i'm the driver..ziez is the navigator, oya and intan is the runner...hehehehehe.

Then kita kena singgah rumah anak2 yatim. Dah lupa nama kawasan yg kami berhenti tu....nama rumah tu is something like Belamie Home...camtula...dah lupa arrr....So, when we reach there, we need to performed as a PIRATE!! Barang2 yg we all kena cari along the journey tu then kena pakai barang2 tu...then performed to them...heeemm...lantakla....Oya yg kena jd pelakon utamanya....me and others is only the Pak Pacak!! Tengokla gambar tu....do we look like a lanun?? or devil?? hee...he...he...Tp..devil sopan arr...betul tak?

It was a great journey....nasibla kawan2 lanun i tu...jenih yg hangky pangky....gamat la cabai i tu. We stay kat Swiss Garden Resort Hotel, Lumut. Nicekan hotel tu? Nice view, nice room, it's connecting room...our room mengadap beach....boleh tengok sun set.....cantik sungguh!!!

We had dinner at the ballroom....muka kami pun dah nampak penat sgt....letih wooo...it takes us almost 8 hours to reach Lumut!! Dah boleh balik alor staq singgah penang...pehtu balik alor staq again u know...punyala lama...sigh!!! Nasibla cabai i tu AUTO!! manual kalu mau putuih segala urat2 sendi kaki nih.

Pagi tu...we all pegi beach...lepas b'fast...tengok2 kawasan hotel tu....pehtu cari siput remis. First time cari siput remis ni..sebelum ni tak pernah buat pun..tu Oya yg ajar...kalau tak....tak tau jugak.

Haaa...tula citernya...xtvt kami semasa melanun di Lumut. Lepas dah rewang2 kat hotel tu, we went to Lumut town belila serba sedikit udang kering, sotong kering, baju batik etc...etc...etc....
