Switzerland - 28/6/2010

Salam semua
Hari ni kita dah masuk 15 Ramadhan iaitu bersamaan dgn 15 hari jugak kita dah berpuasa. Bermakna lagi 2 minggu nak balik kampung..oooo..balik kampung..!! Penting balik kampung nih…baru terasa kemeriahan suasana kat kampung. Raya kt bandar ni...definately NOT mela… melainkan kalau keadaan betul2 tak mengizinkan macam tahun lepas..:( Macamana persiapan raya?

Switzerland is 6 hours behind us (Malaysia). Kami berhenti 2 kali. R&R kt Zurich paling best…dah la besar…macam The Mall plak…macam-macam ada kat sana…money changer, sourvenir shops, chocolate shops, restaurant, petrol station etc..etc.

Sepanjang perjalanan dari Zurich kt Engelberg, pemandangan memang menakjubkan.. cantik sgt! Subhanallah... Cantiknya ciptaan yang Maha Esa.. Sampai di Engelberg cuaca lebih kurang macam Frasers Hill la..not too hot..not too cold. Just nice..hehehe. Mt Titlis ni terletak berdekatan dengan Engelberg. Nak naik MT ni kita kena naik 3 jenis cable car yang berbeza-beza size. Perjalanan mendaki (guna cable car) MT ni mengambil masa selama 45 minit untuk sampai ke kemuncak MT.

Bfast dulu sebelum bertolak ke Switzerland...kita minummm duluu..:)

Sempadan between German & Switzerland

Ni R&R kt Zurich..tengah cari makan...endup beli salad and bread

We're heading there...there...can u see that mountain? That's Mt Titlis!!

Dah dekat dah tu...

Sungai ni bersih sangat...:)

Titlis Rotair

Titlis’ claim to fame is that it has one of only two rotating cable cars in the world (the Second is in Capetown, South Africa). To reach the summit you take a small ski gondola, change into a larger cable car and then into the Titis ‘Rotair’ for the trip to the summit. The Rotair is a rotating cable car that turns itself through a 360 degree view as it climbs towards the summit of the mountain. You have to change cable cars twice before reaching the Rotair and it takes roughly 45 minutes to travel from the valley below up to the summit.

As with all mountain excursions in Switzerland, the Titlis cable cars can sometimes close due to poor weather and high winds but if it is open it is easily one of the must do things for any tour staying in Engelberg.

Masa ni tengah tunggu the 3rd cable car. Rotating cable car..

Glacier caves

Titlis is much more than a mountain peak. The glacier cave greets you almost as soon as you walk off the cable car; literally, a series of tunnels through solid ice. It is 0 c here 24/7. They installed lights and speakers throughout the cave and put a control system at the trail start. So arrive at the right time and you can choose the soundtrack that guides the tour for everyone. Midway through is an ice bar that opens up on certain occasions to serve drinks to passers-by.

Dalam glaziers..grrr...ggrrr...sejukkss!!

Mount Titlis Ski Resort

Mount Titlis is one of the tallest peaks in central Switzerland, at 3,238 meters or 10,625 feet. Mt Titlis is one of the most famous mountains in Switzerland.

Sampai dah kt Mt Titlis nih. Dari teropong tu...boleh nampak....

ini..!! :D

Dah immune dah dgn snow snow ni..cewaaahh...dh merasa masa kt Korea & Beijing..:P

View from 3rd cable car

View from 1st cable car. Nak naik Mt Titlis ni kena tempuh 3 cable car...just imagine..tinggi tak tingginya Mt Titlis ni.

View from 2nd cable car.

Byk lembu kt Swiss ni...suka dengar loceng yg tergantung kt leher lembu2 tu..merdu aje dr kaki pergunungan Titlis ni. Dorang ni pakai loceng kalau naik ke alps saja, the bell is to heavy for them to wear it everyday.

Peaceful Engelberg town. Engelberg ni macam valley, dikelilingi oleh gunung ganang, anak sungai, padang rumput, ladang lembu etc. Mount Titlis is just within a touching distance. It is lovely to walk around here. Cantik.
Engelberg
Engelberg (Angel Mountain) ni ever popular in summer and winter resort in Central Switzerland. The founder of a monestory in Engelberg called this place The Mountain of Engels Engelberg terletak di canton of Obwalden, kalau di Malaysia kita panggil negeri atau state, di sini depa panggil canton. Btw, there are several hotels here

Banyak patung2 engel di Engelberg ni.

Luzern arah sana yeaa...its about 30 - 45 minutes from Engelberg ni.

The Terrace hotel. Kami stay kt sini..hotel ni atas bukit mengadap Mt Titlis, Engelberg Town dan hotel paling tinggi di Engelberg ni. The view from my room supperr cooollll....:)

Inila terowongnya...dah lalu terowong naik lif plak..pehtu barula jumpa hotel lobby. Sangat mencabar tapi best and challenging. Mana taknya...dgn luggage yg besar gedabak sorong dgn troley lalu trowong ni...kalau sorang2 takut jugak. Tp, kalau dh ramai2 tu...dh mcm pesta..:D

View from my room...nmpk Mt Titlis dan Engelberg town..:) Waktu ni pukul 9 lebih..masih terang menderang..

Sekian dulu untuk pengembaraan saya kali ini. Kita jumpa di France plak k.

Stay tuuuuuneeee...:)

German - 27/6/2010

Salam semua.

Pertama sekali saya ingin mengucapkan Selamat Menyambut bulan Ramadhan. Maaf yea.

Sekejap aje kita dah masuk bulan Ramadhan. Which is saya tak tahu bila lagi saya berpeluang akan menjejakkan kaki saya kt sana lagi.

Perjalanan dari Amsterdam ke German is about almost 5 hours...adooihhh...macam nak balik Alor Setar plak jauhnya.

Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site

Cologne Cathedral with its two 157-metre-high towers has been the city's famous landmark and Germany's most famous architectural monument for centuries. It took 632 years for Germany's largest cathedral to be completed. The cathedral is one of the most important pilgrimage churches in Europe, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Bukti saya berada di negara German..tu flag German tu dgn org German tu..hehehehe. Knp depa bawa flag? Masa ni still early baru pkl 12pm lebih football pun tak start lg.:)

Church yg sangat HUGE!!

Heidelberg Castle

The wonderful Castle is still the number one attraction in Heidelberg! The castle is a combination of several buildings surrounding an inner courtyard, put together with a haphazard look. Each building highlights a different period of German architecture. The castle has a history almost as old as the city itself. From either the Great Terrace or the gardens, one has an amazing view of Heidelberg, the Neckar River, and the Neckar valley far into the Rhine plain. On a clear day, Mannheim is even visible on the horizon.

Ni pulak bukti saya dah sampai kt Heidelberg.

Bersantai sambil menikmati udara panas...hehehehe

Amazing view dr Heidelberg Castle is the Neckar river and the Neckar valley. Cantikkan?

Ni kt Mainnheim. Its a small town...nothing much to say about this town. Bila kami sampai sana dalam pukul 5 lebih..all shops CLOSE. Yg buka cuma kedai2 kebab dan cafe saje. Shopping complex semua tutup. Mungkin sebab hari Ahad kami sampai sana dan kebetulan ada world cup German vs England on that day..;P

Ok...next destinations is Switzerland..:)

Didi's Wedding

Salam semua

Kita stop dulu cerita bab Europe nih…kita tengok majlis kawin plak. A few weeks back on Saturday dated 17 July 2010. sepupu saya Syarifah Shadia aka Didi’s wedding @ PJ Hilton.

Didi & Adam ni dah akad nikah bulan Mei baru-baru ni, cuma majlis sanding baru nak buat.
